While the Solenn for Pure Ocean set out on the Cap Martinique on the 1st of May for an east to west Atlantic crossing, the JP54 set out on the Bermuda Lorient – Pure Ocean Challenge, 5 days later for a crossing of the same Ocean but in the opposite direction.

 

In a few hours, they will cross each other, without even seeing each other, in the heart of the Atlantic Ocean: quite a symbol!

Although the two ships are taking part in different races, they have one objective in common: to raise funds for ocean research.

 

Pure Ocean Fund sincerely thanks the two crews who are working hard to fly the Pure Ocean Fund colours and wishes them good luck in their respective races!
